It is almost back-to-school time! Summer vacation is fun and relaxing, although, as a foreign language teacher, I know how easily students can forget what they learned from previous semesters after a long summer break. It is important they have an opportunity to refresh their memories and get back to use target language in their language classes. And for the first year students, who are about take a foreign language, it is crucial to start them on the right track to speak in the target language from day one.
With that in mind, I have created a new video lesson series entitled Classroom Expressions in Chinese 课堂用语 series for Chinese language learners and for Chinese teachers to use in their classrooms and as homework for students to watch.
